Hall Hire

Princetown Community Centre is fully licenced to hold any events. We have hosted conferences, meetings, birthday parties, anniversaries, weddings, charity balls, and Christmas parties for groups of all sizes and all ages.

We have two halls for hire, with the capacity to hold the following:

Main Hall
Standing 300-350 persons
Theatre Style 200-250 persons
Seated with Tables 150-200 persons

Small Hall
Standing 75-90 persons
Theatre Style 50-60 persons
Seated with Tables 35-40 persons

Also available for hire are the office, bar and changing rooms.

The bar can be hired fully staffed and stocked, or with space for your own ‘occasional’ bar/caterers (Personal Licence Holder and/or Council T.E.N. required). Kitchen facilities are available if requested at time of booking, free of charge (non-catering functions only, please enquire for other prices).

Hall Availability


Hire Costs per Room

Main Hall, Small Hall, Foyer, Office
£10 per hour, includes basic use of kitchen (teas, coffees, etc. – not supplied)

Changing Rooms, Bar, Kitchen
£10 per 4-hour session, then £5 for each additional hour.

Local Hire and Not-for-Profit Rate

Hirers who live or work within the Parish Council area, regular users, charities and Not-for-Profit groups are eligible for bookings at a lower hourly rate.

Main Hall, Small Hall, Office, Foyer: £7.50 per hour
Bar, Changing Rooms, Kitchen: £5.00 per hour

Additional Costs

Some additional costs may be incurred, for example – electricity for bouncy castles, etc. or large use of water or gas/heating, these will be confirmed at time of booking.


A refundable deposit of £50 is required at time of booking (for local hirers, this only applies to functions of 25+ persons). This deposit is not refunded if the booking is cancelled within 7 days of the date of the event.

A refundable cleaning deposit is also required at time of booking – £20 for the Main Hall and £10 for all other rooms. The Centre is on a private road therefore refuse disposal is NOT included and must be taken away by the hirer at the end of booking time.
